The article advocates for the integration of oral health into age-friendly health systems (AFHS) through interprofessional collaboration. Focus is given on the 4M principles of Matters, Medications, Mentation and Mobility that guide AFHS. It discusses the benefits of an AFHS interprofessional collaboration between dental and medical professionals that include efficient diagnosis and treatment of conditions, improvement of health outcomes, well-being, and quality of life for older people. |
