Abstrakt: This article discusses the use of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to predict clinical response in patients with axial spondyloarthritis who are treated with tumor necrosis factor (TNF) inhibitors. The study analyzed MRI features of the sacroiliac joints and spine in 102 patients and found that higher scores for inflammation, erosion, and backfill in the sacroiliac joints were significant predictors for treatment response. Additionally, certain subscores for spine inflammation were borderline predictive for response. The study suggests that these MRI features could be useful in developing prediction models for treatment response in patients with axial spondyloarthritis. [Extracted from the article]
