Abstrakt: This article discusses a minimally invasive ultrasonography (US)-guided thread-release technique for decompressing the first extensor compartment of the hand. The technique was evaluated for its effectiveness and safety in a study using cadaveric hands. The results showed that a complete release was achieved in 18 out of 20 cases, with minimal damage to the tendons and no harm to neurovascular structures. The authors conclude that US-guided thread release is a reliable and safe method for treating De Quervain's tenosynovitis. [Extracted from the article]
