Arena simulation modeling for electric rail train passenger queues at Manggarai Station.

Abstrakt: Arena software is one of the software for simulation and automation developed by System Modeling. Arena software can be used to analyze production systems, distribution systems, and queuing systems, such as the queuing system at the Electric Rail Train (Commuter Line) station, Manggarai Station, Jakarta, Indonesia. Simulation model at the gate in a queue at the Electric Rail Train station to find out the service from passenger tap-in, ticket queue, tap-out queue, platform queue, and others. This study aims to determine how much time is needed to charge the card balance and the number of queues at the gate for users who already have a balance at peak hour at Manggarai Station West Door. This research uses the literature study method and data collection in the field with the calculation of processing and analyzing passenger queue data. After the calculation, the data is modeled using Arena software. The results of the modeling that have been made, in the morning peak hour (6 AM – 8 AM), the arrival of passengers who top up the card is 76 people, and passengers who already have a balance on the card is 407 people, while in the afternoon (4 PM – 6 PM) the arrival rate of passengers who top up the card is 87 people and passengers who already have a balance on the card is 825 people.
