A recent study conducted at Aligarh Muslim University in India evaluated the antioxidant properties of plant extracts, specifically focusing on Moringa oleifera Lam. The researchers found that a bioactive fraction of Moringa oleifera leaves extract, known as MOEF, demonstrated anti-infective efficacy against certain bacteria. MOEF inhibited the production of virulence factors and reduced biofilm development in various pathogens. The study suggests that MOEF could be used to develop herbal bioactive products and phytomedicines, although further research is needed to assess its therapeutic potential.
