A study conducted by researchers at the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Airlangga in Surabaya, Indonesia, examined the correlation between depression levels and religious coping among medical students. The study found that medical students are at risk of developing depression due to their demanding workload and high expectations, which can impact their academic performance and cognitive function. The research concluded that the prevalence of depression among medical students in the class of 2020 at Universitas Airlangga is 35.6%, and there is a significant correlation between depression levels and religious coping, with an opposing direction of correlation.
