Abstrakt:	A researcher at the University of Pretoria has published a review on the mechanisms of histone deacetylase inhibitors (HDACis) and radiation treatment in cancer. HDACis have shown promise in treating certain blood cancers but have been less effective in solid tumors. The review explores the potential of combining HDACis with radiation or other DNA-damaging agents to improve their efficacy in solid tumors.
