| Abstrakt: |
A recent study conducted by researchers from the University of Nevada investigated the use of weight-bearing computed tomography (WBCT) to diagnose Lisfranc ligament injuries. The study involved the dissection of cadaveric limbs to simulate these injuries, and WBCT images were collected under different loading conditions. The automated analysis of these images showed minimal differences in alignment measures, suggesting that WBCT may not be suitable for diagnosing Lisfranc injuries. Further research is needed to improve diagnostic tools for these injuries. This study provides evidence at Level V and is published in the Journal of the Foot & Ankle. [Extracted from the article] |
