A new report from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) discusses the challenges of removing tamarind seeds from the tracheobronchial tree in pediatric patients. The study found that tamarind seed aspiration is more common in children from rural backgrounds who have easy access to tamarind fruits. The researchers analyzed the cases of five patients who underwent rigid bronchoscopy for seed removal.
