A study conducted by researchers at Huazhong University of Science and Technology investigated the factors associated with different reproductive outcomes in patients with Caesarean scar pregnancies (CSPs). The study followed up with 100 patients who underwent surgical treatment for CSPs and found that 43% had live births, 19% had abortions, 38% had secondary infertility, and 15% had recurrent CSPs. The study concluded that the recurrence probability of CSPs was low and that women with childbearing intentions after CSPs should be encouraged to become pregnant again. The study also found that abortion after CSP was a risk factor for recurrent CSPs. [Extracted from the article] |
