Abstrakt: Researchers from State University Ponta Grossa in Brazil conducted a study to investigate the antibacterial effects of Terminalia catappa Linn (TCL) leaf extracts and their impact on the adhesive properties of two universal adhesives. The study found that TCL extract had bactericidal potential and inhibited biofilm formation. The application of TCL primer increased the immediate bond strength and degree of conversion, while maintaining the adhesive properties of the adhesive-dentin interface after 2 years of water storage. The study suggests that primers containing TCL could be effective in promoting oral health. [Extracted from the article]
