Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers at Miguel Hernandez University of Elche in Spain found that teacher autonomy support is associated with improved student learning. The study focused on the relationship between teacher emphasis on content usefulness and students' motivation to learn. The participants were 3033 university students from Spain, Portugal, Mexico, Chile, and Brazil. The results showed that the strength of teacher emphasis on class content predicted student autonomy, which in turn predicted student motivation to learn. This study highlights the importance of teacher support and student autonomy in promoting motivation and learning. [Extracted from the article]
