A recent study conducted at Erasmus University Medical Center in Rotterdam, Netherlands, examined the effects of pulmonary artery (PA)-guided therapy on patients with chronic heart failure (HF). The study found that PA-guided therapy improved quality of life, reduced HF hospitalizations, and decreased mean PA pressure in patients with chronic HF. The researchers evaluated the consistency of these benefits across various subgroups, such as age, sex, atrial fibrillation, and diabetes mellitus, and found that the effects of PA monitoring were consistent across all subgroups. This study confirms the efficacy of PA-guided therapy in improving outcomes for patients with chronic HF. [Extracted from the article] |
