A recent report discusses the findings of a randomized controlled trial conducted by investigators from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) on telerehabilitation for low vision. The trial compared the outcomes of telerehabilitation with in-office training using magnification devices. The study found that reading ability improved significantly after the provision of new magnifiers, with further improvements observed after additional magnifier training through both telerehabilitation and in-office care. The research highlights the potential benefits of telerehabilitation in improving reading ability for visually impaired individuals. [Extracted from the article] |
