A recent study conducted in Hangzhou, China aimed to assess the intention of millennial parents with two children to have a third child and explore the factors influencing their fertility intention. The study surveyed 520 participants and found that 20.2% of them had the intention to have a third child. Factors such as employment status, age, reasons for wanting a third child, barriers to having a third child, views on the three-child policy, desired free services, supporting work policies, and assistance policies were found to significantly influence fertility intention. The study suggests that policymakers should improve the social support system and raise awareness to encourage childbirth. [Extracted from the article] |
