Abstrakt: A report from the African Population and Health Research Center explores the perceptions of community members in northern Kenya regarding the management of acute malnutrition by community health volunteers (CHVs). The study found that caregivers and CHVs perceived the intervention to be beneficial, acceptable, effective, and easily accessible. However, the intervention also faced operational and systemic challenges that should be considered before scaling up. The research highlights the persistent challenge of child undernutrition in arid and semi-arid areas due to factors such as low rainfall, droughts, and food insecurity. [Extracted from the article]
