Abstrakt: A 32-year-old man developed anterior uveal effusion while being treated with acetazolamide for episodic ataxia. He experienced blurred vision and near-sightedness after the first dose, and examination revealed a bilateral myopic shift. The man was admitted for monitoring due to the risk of angle closure, and further tests showed a bilateral anterior uveal detachment. It was determined that the anterior uveal effusion was related to acetazolamide and resulted in the acute myopic shift. Treatment with atropine and dexamethasone successfully resolved the condition after 5 days. [Extracted from the article]
