Abstrakt: A recent study conducted at the University of Cincinnati analyzed data on military critical care air transport team readiness. The study aimed to determine if demographic factors could predict students' performance in the Critical Care Air Transport (CCAT) Advanced Course. The study found that certain factors, such as rank and unit sustainment training frequency, were associated with lower odds of passing the course for registered nurses (RNs) and respiratory therapists (RTs). Additionally, medical specialties that were nontraditional for CCAT had significantly lower passing rates. The study concluded that readily available metrics could help identify individuals at risk for poor performance in CCAT Advanced training. [Extracted from the article]
