Abstrakt: A study conducted at Almoosa Specialist Hospital focused on ganglion cysts, specifically a rare case involving a carpal boss lesion with an overlying ganglion cyst. The researchers found that carpal boss lesions, which are bony protrusions on the dorsal aspect of the wrist quadrangular joint, are often asymptomatic but can cause pain, restricted mobility, and joint instability in severe cases. Surgical excision was found to be necessary for most symptomatic carpal boss lesion patients, although conservative treatment can be effective for some. The study provides a case report and literature review on this topic. [Extracted from the article]
