A recent qualitative study conducted by Herdecke University explored the experiences of Ukrainian refugees in the German healthcare system. The study found that while participants generally had positive experiences with the quality of treatments and insurance in Germany, there were notable differences in the structure of the healthcare systems between Ukraine and Germany. These differences, along with language barriers, led to challenges in accessing healthcare and unmet information needs among the refugees. The study highlights the importance of disseminating information about the German healthcare system to facilitate successful integration. [Extracted from the article] |
