Abstrakt: Background: Students with emotional and behavioural disorders (EBD) require support to develop skills for behavioural and academic success. Without support, students with EBD are more likely to struggle socially and academically than any other subgroup of students. Students benefit from access to self-management. Little is known about the application of self-management strategies for high school students with EBD. Method: The results of this exploratory single-case study provide preliminary support for a functional relation between implementing SCORE IT, an iPad self-management application, with self-reinforcement and increasing on-task behaviour of two male high school students with EBD. Results: Study results and effect size calculations support a functional relation for one student, with promising results for a second student. Conclusions: Self-management interventions for high school students struggling with behaviour may lead to increases in on-task behaviour. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
