A new report discusses research conducted by Guilan University of Medical Sciences on the role of handgrip strength (HGS) in predicting the quality of life (QOL) in older adults. The study focused on 115 older adults residing in retirement centers in Guilan Province, Iran. The researchers found a significant association between education level and QOL, as well as a positive correlation between HGS and QOL. The study concluded that improving HGS through exercise can enhance the QOL of older adults, suggesting that regular sports exercises can be recommended for this purpose.
