A recent study conducted at the Slovak University of Technology Bratislava has developed a powerful electroanalytical platform for the direct quantification of diazepam (DZP), a benzodiazepine anticonvulsant. The innovative approach integrates a batch injection analysis (BIA) system with a screen-printed electrode arrangement employing square-wave adsorptive stripping voltammetry (SWAdSV). The method demonstrated a broad linear concentration range and a micromolar limit of detection, making it suitable for the analysis of pharmaceuticals and alcoholic drinks associated with potential criminal activities involving DZP abuse.
