Abstrakt: A recent study conducted at Iowa State University examined the effects of spironolactone, a medication used to treat various conditions, on the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS) in healthy dogs. The study found that spironolactone increased serum aldosterone concentration and impacted other biomarkers of the RAAS in the dogs. The researchers concluded that a dosage of 4 mg/kg/day of spironolactone was safe and well-tolerated in healthy dogs. This study provides valuable insights into the effects of spironolactone on the RAAS in canines. [Extracted from the article]
