Abstrakt: A research study conducted by UiT The Arctic University of Norway examined the impact of HPV vaccination on the incidence of high-grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN2+) in women aged 20-25 in Troms and Finnmark over a 15-year period. The study analyzed cervical screening data from 15,328 women and found that the incidence of CIN2+ initially increased but then significantly decreased after the introduction of the HPV vaccine. Women in pre-vaccine cohorts had a higher risk of CIN2+ and CIN3+. The study concluded that the HPV vaccine has been effective in reducing the incidence of high-grade cervical precursors and preventing cervical cancer among young women in Northern Norway.
