A recent study conducted at the University of Trieste in Italy explored the impact of different techniques used to prepare dental implant sites on the primary stability of the implant. The study found that the piezoelectric surgery technique exhibited the greatest stability, followed by the black ruby magnetic mallet inserts, and finally traditional drills. The researchers also used micro-tomography scans to determine the ratio of implant occupation to the preparation site and found that piezoelectric surgery had the highest ratio. Overall, the study suggests that using the piezoelectric surgery technique and osteo-densification with black ruby magnetic mallet inserts may enhance primary stability and increase the possibility of early implant loading.
