Abstrakt: Reverse osmosis (RO) filter systems have emerged as an effective solution to address concerns about water quality and safety. A 2023 study found that only 52 percent of filter owners trust their tap water, highlighting the desire for trusted solutions. RO systems use a semipermeable membrane to remove impurities from water, and they commonly incorporate a remineralization process. Third-party certification is important for verifying the claims of RO systems, and recent advancements have been made in reducing perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) contaminants. The industry is continuously working to reduce harmful contaminants and safeguard public health. [Extracted from the article]
