The article is about the "pioneering" artists who recognized the artistic potential of the Carpathians and founded professional art education in the region, as well as about their students, one among whom was Volodymyr Mykyta. The author analyzes the principles of the artist's construction of multi-figure compositions, portraits, and landscapes and explains how this "constructivism-ness" allows him to preserve a true and touching image of the world that in reality has become a thing of the past.
