Abstrakt: This article discusses a novel approach to demonstrating supplemental margins during oncologic resection using iPad annotation of 3D surgical models. Surgeons and pathologists used the Procreate® application on an iPad to annotate virtual models of surgical defects and resection specimens in 3D. This method improves interdepartmental communication and provides visual documentation of surgical steps taken to address at-risk margins. The study demonstrates that using Procreate® for annotation improves efficiency and legibility, establishing a bidirectional exchange of visual information between surgeon and pathologist. This technique has the potential to enhance surgical outcomes and reduce the need for additional treatment. [Extracted from the article]
