Synthesis and cytotoxic activity of PEPPSI complexes based on 2-R-5,6-dihydro[1,2,4]triazolo[3,4-a]isoquinolin-2-ium salts.

Abstrakt: The alkylation of substituted 5,6-dihydro[1,2,4]triazolo[3,4-a]isoquinolines with benzylic chlorides afforded quaternary 5,6-dihydro[1,2,4]triazolo[3,4-a]isoquinolinium salts. The reaction of the latter with PdCl2 and pyridine derivatives gave PEPPSI complexes. The cytotoxic activity of the new complexes was evaluated against the HEK293, A549, and HCT116 cell lines.
