Abstrakt: The phytochemical investigation of Gnetum latifolium var. funiculare Markgr. resulted in the isolation of five compounds (1-5). Their structures were determined as bisisorhapotingenin A (1), genetifolin E (2), genetifolin K (3), piceid (4), and isorhapontin (5) based on extensive analyses of HR-ESI-MS, 1D and 2D NMR spectra. All of these five isolated compounds were evaluated for their inhibition effect on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)- induced nitric oxide (NO) production in RAW264.7 macrophages. Among them, two compounds (1 and 3) showed moderate effect on NO production inhibition in LPS-activated RAW264.7 cells with the IC50 values of 53.80 and 93.94 μM, respectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
