Abstrakt: A study conducted at Shandong University examined the difference in early trimester fetal growth between singletons after frozen embryo transfer and fresh embryo transfer. The study found that frozen embryo transfer resulted in a higher birthweight and an increased risk of macrosomia compared to fresh embryo transfer. The crown-rump length at 11-13 weeks gestation was used as an indicator of fetal growth, and it was found that frozen embryo transfer was associated with a larger crown-rump length. The study suggests that suboptimal fetal growth in the first trimester may be associated with low birthweight and premature delivery. [Extracted from the article]
