Abstrakt: Researchers from Medical College Kolkata in West Bengal, India have reported on a rare complication that can occur after a caesarean section. The complication involves the formation of a sinus or fistula that communicates externally through the scar line or the skin near the umbilicus. The researchers presented a case series of three patients with cutaneous and uterocutaneous fistulas following caesarean section. The cases were diagnosed using imaging techniques and managed conservatively with antibiotics, resulting in complete healing without residual infection. Further information on this research can be found in the International Journal of Anatomy Radiology and Surgery. [Extracted from the article]
