Abstrakt: A recent study conducted at the University Hospital of Giessen and Marburg in Germany examined the efficacy and complications of endovascular interventions for critical limb ischemia (CLI). The study found that interventional radiological procedures, such as percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) and stenting, were successful in treating CLI with high technical and clinical success rates. The major complications, including major bleeding, distal embolization, and aneurysm formation, occurred at low rates. The study suggests that German interventional radiologists provide safe and effective treatment for CLI, with outcomes that tend to surpass internationally published data.
