Abstrakt: A scoping review conducted by researchers at Swansea University explores the theory of planned behavior (TPB) in relation to sustainable food consumption across Western and non-Western cultures. The review analyzed 95 articles and found that including culturally specific variables improved models for predicting organic food purchases and food waste, but not meat consumption. The researchers suggest that future cross-cultural research should focus on exploring similar factors to develop a universal model of sustainable food consumption. Incorporating cultural nuances and targeting common core values and attitudes may improve interventions that promote sustainable food consumption across cultures. [Extracted from the article]
