Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Texas at Arlington explored the relationship between a person's pupils and their working memory. The researchers found that when individuals concentrate on tasks, their pupils dilate, and the more their pupils dilate, the better they perform on tests measuring working memory. The study involved 179 undergraduate students who completed working memory tasks while their pupils were continuously measured using an eye-tracker. The findings suggest that pupil dilation may be a good indicator of working memory and could contribute to our understanding of why working memory varies between individuals.
