A study conducted by researchers at Eskisehir Osmangazi Universitesi provides new insights into lung cancer. The study found that lung cancer patients had significantly higher levels of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1), and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX2) in their serum compared to healthy individuals. These findings suggest that inflammation may play a role in the development and progression of lung cancer. The researchers believe that these findings could contribute to early diagnosis and the development of new treatments for lung cancer. [Extracted from the article] |
