Xuzhou University of Technology Researchers Broaden Understanding of Enzymes and Coenzymes (Optimized Extraction Conditions and Characteristics Analysis of Insoluble Dietary Fiber from Pomelo Peel).

Abstrakt: Researchers from Xuzhou University of Technology in China have conducted a study on the extraction and characteristics of insoluble dietary fiber (IDF) from pomelo peel. The study used an orthogonal test to optimize the extraction process and analyze the characteristics of the IDF. The results showed that the optimal extraction conditions yielded a 55.07% yield of pomelo peel IDF. The IDF exhibited good characteristics, including swelling capacity, water holding capacity, oil holding capacity, cation exchange capacity, and adsorption capability for glucose, cholesterol, and sodium cholate. This study provides a theoretical basis for the development and utilization of pomelo peel IDF. [Extracted from the article]
