Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers at the University College of Medical Sciences in Delhi, India, aimed to determine the perception and practice of the eight limbs of yoga among yoga teachers. The study found that while the majority of participants recognized the importance of all eight limbs, there were varying degrees of emphasis placed on each limb. Pranayama and asana were given the most emphasis, while niyama, yama, pratyahara, dhyana, and dharana were given slightly less emphasis. The researchers concluded that practitioners should embrace all eight limbs of yoga to increase access and promote its benefits, and health professionals should have a comprehensive understanding of yoga to avoid potentially harmful practices.
