A new report discusses research findings on keratitis, a condition affecting the cornea of the eye. The report focuses on an unusual case of pigmented fungal corneal ulcer in a 45-year-old male who had an insect fall into his eye while driving. The patient was successfully treated with a combination of intrastromal injection, topical medications, debridement, and supportive therapy.
