Researchers from Xi'an Jiaotong University in China have developed a new approach to cancer therapy using a nanocolloid called Cur@IR783 NC. This nanocolloid is formed by combining the hydrophilic IR783 dye with the hydrophobic curcumin compound. The Cur@IR783 NC showed enhanced water dispersity and accumulation at tumor sites, leading to improved anti-tumor effects. When combined with laser irradiation, the Cur@IR783 NC demonstrated potent chemo-photothermal combination therapy, making it a promising approach for cancer treatment. This research was supported by various funding sources, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China. [Extracted from the article] |
