Abstrakt: | A recent study conducted at Virgen de la Victoria University Hospital has explored the use of blood biomarkers for predicting and monitoring the response to combined immunotherapy and stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR) in patients with metastatic oligoprogressive lung cancer. The study found that a decrease in circulating cell-free DNA (cfDNA) correlated with a positive response to treatment. Additionally, certain immune cells and microRNAs were identified as potential biomarkers of response. These findings contribute to a better understanding of the molecular determinants of treatment response in this patient population. [Extracted from the article] |
