This document is a reply to a letter regarding an article titled "Spasticity Predicts Motor Recovery for Patients with Subacute Motor Complete Spinal Cord Injury." The authors thank Dr. Jing for her comments and provide additional information about their methodologies. They explain that the International Standards for Neurological Classification of Spinal Cord Injury (ISNCSCI) examination was conducted by experienced professionals, and they used both the Modified Ashworth Scale (MAS) and the pendulum test to assess spasticity. They also address the potential effect of antispastic medications on their measurements and report that motor recovery was observed in patients despite the use of these medications.
