Abstrakt: The March issue of Statistics in Transition new series features eleven articles written by twenty-four authors from nine countries: USA, Poland, Nepal, India, Nigeria, Indonesia, Iran, Algeria, and Saudi Arabia. The articles cover a range of topics, including statistical risk quantification of internet traffic flows, mutual information between Polish subindexes during the COVID-19 pandemic, a new skew-log-logistic distribution, and estimation methods for population mean and quantiles. Other articles discuss inter-voivodship migration in Poland, classification of household welfare status using the K-Nearest Neighbor method, Bayesian inference for reliability parameters, estimation of quantiles with the exact bootstrap method, and composite estimators for domain estimation.
