This document is a response letter to an article titled "Effect of Helicobacter Pylori Infection on Glucose Metabolism, Lipid Metabolism and Inflammatory Cytokines in Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease Patients." The authors of the response letter acknowledge the study's investigation into the impact of Helicobacter pylori infection on glucose metabolism, lipid metabolism, and inflammatory cytokines in patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (MASLD). They note that MASLD is a leading cause of chronic liver disease globally and that the prevalence of MASLD has been increasing. The authors discuss the association between H. pylori infection and insulin resistance and dyslipidemia, as well as the limitations of the study's methodology and diagnostic criteria. They suggest future research should employ large-scale and multi-center randomized controlled trials to further assess the influence of H. pylori infection in MASLD patients. Overall, the authors appreciate the study's contribution to the field and its potential for improving patient outcomes. [Extracted from the article] |
