Abstrakt: This document provides a summary of the effectiveness of mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) therapy in treating feline chronic gingivostomatitis (FCGS) in cats. The studies reviewed found that MSC therapy showed promise in improving the clinical signs of FCGS, with some cats experiencing complete remission or substantial improvement. However, the studies had limitations and were prone to bias, so more robust evidence is needed through well-designed randomized controlled trials. The article also mentions the use of biomarkers for predicting the response to MSC therapy and a survey that found no adverse events during long-term follow-up. Overall, there is moderate evidence supporting the use of MSCs for treating FCGS, but further research is recommended. [Extracted from the article]
