New research conducted in Zagreb, Croatia explores the impact of aging on gene expression and secretome composition in canine adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (cAD-MSCs). The study found that the gene expression and secretome composition of cAD-MSCs were affected by aging, with significant downregulations in certain genes. Additionally, the study revealed that the regenerative potential of cAD-MSCs and their secretome may be compromised by aging, suggesting a preference for earlier passages when considering these cells for therapeutic applications. This study provides valuable insights into the changes that occur in cAD-MSCs as they age and contributes to expanding the knowledge base on their secretome. [Extracted from the article] |
