Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers at the University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center examined Palestinian women's recognition of mythical causes of ovarian cancer (OC) and explored factors associated with good recognition. The study found that overall recognition of OC causation myths was low among the participants. The most recognized food-related myth was "drinking from plastic bottles," while the most recognized food-unrelated myth was "having a physical trauma." The study suggests that addressing these mythical beliefs should be included in OC prevention strategies and public health interventions to improve women's understanding of OC risk factors versus mythical causes.
