A study conducted at Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin, Texas, explored the impact of including electrophysiologists in daily multidisciplinary morning reports for pediatric cardiac care. The study found that routine involvement of electrophysiologists in these reports led to significant and frequent contributions to patient management, including identifying rhythm-related diagnoses, providing nuanced medication and pacemaker management, and correcting other physicians' interpretations of rhythm or electrocardiogram. The researchers concluded that electrophysiologist presence in multidisciplinary morning reports is a valuable resource and should be considered in integrated pediatric cardiac centers.
