A recent report from the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, Washington discusses the findings of a study on chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). The study focuses on the resistance to targeted therapies in CLL and the need for effective treatment strategies. The researchers used duplex sequencing to identify mutations associated with drug resistance in CLL and observed their evolution in two patients who received multiple targeted therapies. The study sheds light on the dynamics of resistant clones and their response to different treatments.
